On a late wintery night in early 2002 my husband and I went out for a "date night." At 9 p.m. (we had a very gracious babysitter) we wandered in to a showing of "Lord of the Rings, The Fellowship of the Rings." Coming out of the theater I found myself so moved by the story, and by the wonderful characterizations of the ensemble cast, that I took up once again the pen and ink art that I'd put down shortly after the birth of our first child.
From that second artistic beginning I've moved to traditional oil paintings, a place from which I look forward to further growth, learning and fun.
So it all started here. Just don't ever ask me how many times I saw the first movie...
