Low-tech is wonderful; I can understand it. In 1646, the ironworks brought iron lodestone in from a deposit in a bog and transformed it into finished small and large iron implements and iron bar for final use elsewhere. The giant water-powered bellows alone are worth the trip.
The building in the foreground houses a blacksmith’s shop, the larger buildings further back housed the large equipment used to melt and form the iron.
